✨ Meet the Dream: San Antonio Celebrates 2025 MLK Scholarship Recipients
In a heartfelt tribute to the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the San Antonio Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commission has awarded an incredible $160,000 in scholarships to 27 outstanding students for 2025. These young leaders, recognized for their academic excellence, leadership, and community impact, were announced this week as the newest recipients of the MLK Scholarship Program—and they are already shaping a brighter future.
Each year, the scholarship program honors the vision and values of Dr. King by investing in the next generation of changemakers. This year’s theme, "Meet the Dream," couldn’t be more fitting.
“These students represent the very essence of Dr. King’s dream,” said Dr. Wanita Mercer, MLK Scholarship Program Chair. “They are thinkers, builders, and compassionate leaders—and they’re just getting started.”
