River Walk Magazine Is Back: A Legacy Reimagined
By Christopher C. Herring, Publisher

In 2006, I launched River Walk Magazine with a singular vision—to capture and amplify the heartbeat of San Antonio’s downtown, its vibrant River Walk, and the people and businesses that give it life. Back then, the pages of the magazine celebrated local culture, commerce, tourism, and the spirit of a city on the rise.

Now, after more than a decade, River Walk Magazine is back. And this time, it returns with a broader vision, a stronger voice, and a renewed mission to uplift, inform, and inspire.

A Story Worth Reviving

Originally published under River Walk Publishing, LLC, the magazine quickly became a trusted source for visitors and locals alike, showcasing the very best of San Antonio's food, festivals, arts, and hospitality industries. It was more than a tourist guide—it was a platform to celebrate small business owners, artists, community leaders, and the soul of the city.

Since that time, San Antonio has grown into one of America’s largest and most diverse cities. But our stories still deserve to be told—and now more than ever, we need a platform that not only reflects our unique culture but pushes it forward.

The 2025 Revival

In 2025, River Walk Magazine returns with a refined editorial mission:
✔ To spotlight local entrepreneurs and changemakers
✔ To dive deep into economic development and global business trends
✔ To celebrate art, culture, and culinary excellence
✔ To feature voices that reflect the diversity of our city

This isn’t just a reprint. It’s a reimagining.

We will cover not only downtown San Antonio but expand our lens to include the vibrant neighborhoods and hidden gems across the city. From global trade to local tacos, from historic preservation to future innovation, River Walk Magazine will once again be the voice of the people who power San Antonio.

More Than a Magazine

As Publisher, I’ve always believed media should be more than just a business—it should be a service to the community. That spirit is what drives this return. We are not just printing stories; we are building platforms, creating opportunity, and ensuring that local voices are heard in every corner of the city—and beyond.

This revival also ties into my lifelong work in business development, media, and international engagement. It reflects my belief that the local and global are not separate, but deeply connected—and San Antonio deserves a magazine that reflects that.
